Dear Sirs
Would you kind enough to assist me in my research for my family history. I noticed that the farmsteads name is Waldeck, which is our family name. Would you by any chance have any knowledge as to where the name came from and if it was named after a Capt. Mayer Waldeck.
My brother tells me that my grandfather came from Namibia, and am now wondering if Capt Mayer Waldeck isn’t slightly related
Any information relating to the Waldeck name would be appreciated.
